Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Child Care

What does diversity, equity and inclusion mean? The 21^st century brings new opportunities and challenges for educators who aim to create healthy, inclusive learning environments. We will learn terms to discuss multiculturalism, anti-bias curriculum, interculturalism, cultural context, and reflect on your own responses to diversity. What does a diverse, equitable, and inclusive classroom look like? We will discuss resources/materials to use in the classroom, and classroom materials including displays that reflect the children and the teachers in that classroom.
