The Week of the Young Child

The Week of the Young Child® is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  The week-long celebration will take place this year from April 1- April 7. Some communities celebrate the “Month of the Young Child.” However, celebrated the purpose remains the same to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs that serve them.

The Children & Family Resource Center along with NAEYC recognizes the importance of educating young children and honoring those who teach.

We had a blast at the Week of the Young Child Celebration luncheon! We loved celebrating our child care teachers and highlighting the power they have to positively influence the lives of the children in their care. Big thanks go to Dr. Kimberly Johnson for bringing the energy and inspiring us all to be better for our kids every day. To see more smiling faces from this year’s WOYC Celebration, visit tinyurl.com/CFRCWOYC23
