The Week of the Young Child

The Week of the Young Child® is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  Some communities celebrate throughout the week, while others recognize the entire month. Still, the purpose remains the same, to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs that serve them.

This year, we are excited to celebrate with you at our Week of the Young Child Conference on Saturday, April 24, 2027, at Blue Ridge Community College! We are thrilled to welcome Prerna Richards as our keynote speaker, along with morning and afternoon breakout sessions offering opportunities for learning, growth, and connection.

Registration will open early March, so be sure to watch for more information!
