The Children & Family Resource Center directly touches the lives of nearly 2,500 Henderson County residents a year through programs and services and indirectly, 3,000 children through early childhood professionals. Among the many issues that affect our children in our community are: poverty, child abuse and neglect, teen pregnancy, the need for quality and affordable childcare, early onset of behavioral issues and developmental delays.
Helps adolescent parents to build better futures for themselves and their child by providing support to continue their education, acquire job skills, improve parenting abilities and to become self-sufficient and better able to support themselves and their families.
Enables parents to continue their education at a post-secondary level. Awards of $2,500 are given to eligible applicants in order to pay for tuition, books or other needs in the pursuit of higher education.
Circle of Parents® provides a friendly, supportive environment where anyone in a parenting role can openly discuss the successes and challenges of raising children.
Helps children learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential by providing in-home information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
Strengthens parenting skills and teaches effective strategies to help manage children’s challenging behavior.
Families and providers who need access to diapers, wipes, and formula are able to apply for assistance. Each request will require a contact person who will make appointments and pick up formula and/or diaper bundles.
Empowers and educates parents/guardians of pre-teens (children ages 9 to 12) on how to be their child’s sexual health and dating safety educator.
COS is an early intervention program designed to enhance attachment between parents/guardians and children.
A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother before, during, and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.
Children and Family Resource Center now offers a free 12-week course for those required to complete a parenting class, or who are working to maintain, or recover, custody of their children.

Family Behavioral Health Navigator connects families with children who have mental or behavioral health needs to services and the larger service delivery system
