Medication in Child Care
February 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeParticipants will learn medication best practices in early care and education including receiving, documenting, storage, and disposal. They will learn about NC Child Care regulations, types of medication, and the forms that are required to be completed before giving medication. They will also learn the six rights of medication administration, as well as how to recognize, respond to, and report a medication error.
This training does not prepare participants to give medication to children. Additional in-depth, in-person, skills-based training should be undertaken by early educators who will be responsible for giving medication to children.
