Training developed by the North Carolina Child Care Health and Safety Resource Center covering Seizures in Child Care and Emergency Treatment. Participants will understand and recognize seizures, learn strategies for including a child with seizures in early care and education, and identify community resources and support. Participants will learn different types of seizures and common triggers, how to understand a seizure action plan, care team members who support children with seizures, steps of seizure first aid, and how to administer emergency medications including diazepam rectal gel.
