From the Director’s Desk

Dear Friends,

With both gratitude and a bit of sadness, I want to let you know that I have made the difficult decision to step away from my role at the Children & Family Resource Center.

CFRC has been more than a workplace for me. For 13 years, it has been a place where I’ve grown, learned, and been continually inspired, not only by the incredible staff and board, but also by the children and families we serve. In many ways, I feel like I’ve not only raised my children here, but also been “raised” myself, learning, growing, and being inspired every single day by our staff, our board, and the programs we offer.

This organization fills such a vital role in Henderson County. By supporting children and families at the most important moments in their lives, CFRC creates ripple effects that strengthen our whole community. Being a part of that work has been the greatest privilege of my career.

Although leaving is bittersweet, I am excited to step into a new opportunity as Executive Director of the Blue Ridge Community College Foundation. While my path is shifting, my belief in and commitment to the mission of CFRC remain unwavering. I do not doubt that, with the strength of our staff, board, and supporters like you, CFRC will continue to thrive and grow in service of children and families.

I am deeply grateful for the trust, encouragement, and partnership I’ve experienced throughout my time here. Thank you for allowing me to be part of something so meaningful, and for continuing to champion the work of CFRC as it moves into its next chapter.

With gratitude and love,

Jamie Wiener

Executive Director
